    This is the same method that Google uses on their Google Maps requests-- they use 4 sub-domains just for their image requests.     We do something similar for this when loading pages with a lot of images. I noticed the browser would slow down on image heavy pages even though the bandwidth usage was minimal. We have several sub-domains that are just for this purpose. eg. // // Then on each imag... read more »
