Watch out for iOS 5. There is a strict usage of the 'numeric' type so that even if the numeric keyboard is displayed, any non-numeric characters will be removed. For example, a field with '7/13' and type="numeric", will on losing focus result in '7'. I'm looking for a way to... read more »
