    I never really play around with JAR files much, so this comment could be totally off base, but, could you have not just used the cfzip tag?     I still don't get what you hate about iTunes. It is awesome! I never experience it being clunky. Maybe it is because you are on Vista :-) Have you checked out the genius feature?
