Subversion - Cleanup Failed To Process The Following Paths
Posted on Sep 2, 2008 at 10:48 AM
@Jono thanks for the link. I did check that book out a few months back and had a little bit of a tough time with it. I thought to myself, this would be a lot easier if I had a friend or coworker who fully understood it to point me in the right direction. One of those things I think if you see som... read more »

Subversion - Cleanup Failed To Process The Following Paths
Posted on Aug 30, 2008 at 12:58 AM
I need some sort of Subversion/GIT for dummies book. My designer mind has a hard time seeing the big picture or birds eye view of how a versioning system works. I'm behind the times and am tired of FTP'ing to a dev server and copying changes to a prod server. :-(... read more »

@marc Wow, dude that was awesome. As my first coldfusion project, I built a simple cms for my personal site/blog, nothing fancy. It was fine when it was just for myself but now my wife has her site running the same codebase, oh and now we have a photography business that uses the sa... read more »

OOPhoto - Thoughts On Integrating The New Domain Model

Ok noob question here. Can you put in laymens terms what the big advantage of OO would be in this particular coldfusion app? Because I'm a noob I'll accept the fact that I may be short-sighted on this issue; But it seems like I could build this ten times faster by posting a form to an acti... read more »

OOPhoto - A Painful Transition To Object-Based Controllers

Ben if you're not working on a book I would seriously consider it if I were you. I'd shell out $50 to have all of your blog entries structured (in chapter/topic), cleaned up and bound. Hell I might even just get my printer out. I KID! Please write a book. K thanks.... read more »

OOPhoto - A Painful Transition To Object-Based Controllers

No actually that's pretty much 100% my problem. You're doing a fantastic job. I'm somewhat new to Coldfusion and really programming in general. Most of the time the problem for me is that I don't understand a lot of the terminology/lingo from the start. Meaning the fundamental things you'd learn... read more »

Totally honest? I was only able to absorb a very small percentage of this beautifully thought out hand crafted super insightful blog entry. What I can say is that it caused me to think outside of the daily sludge of doing things the same way over and over without ever questioning my meth... read more »

I'm Not Dead Yet - But Blogging Might Be Killing Me?

I totally envy you. Resting would be nice, too. The whole topic of this blog entry makes me call into question my own computer usage, I go through spurts where I'm on the computer all the time (for work and play) and then other times I don't even think about it. Ah well, spring is near so... read more »
