  Meenakshi - look in to using the the java stringbuffer classes to generate the file much more efficiently. i ran into memory limits with cfsavecontent too. either that or upgrade to ColdFusion 9 and enjoy a much, much simpler way to manipulate spreadsheets!... read more »
