  Steve is wrong on the topic of regular expressions here. /S(?:a(?:mantha|rah)|h(?:an(?:ai|on)|ylvia)|Janel/ would take almost exactly the same amount of time as /Sarah|Sylvia|Samantha|Shania|Shanon|Janel/.
