If I Don't Get Back To You, It's Not Personal

Posted September 7, 2007 at 8:44 AM

Hey all, I just wanted to let you know that if I don't respond to one of your emails or Contact Ben forms, it's not personal; I try my best to get back to everyone (and I really do want to help), but I don't have the best Inbox management skills or the most amount of time, and things just get lost in the mix. Of course, when work gets hectic, forget about it! Here is a screen shot of my current Inbox:

Yikes! All of those white emails or starred emails are ones that I have not yet read or have marked as Unread so that I don't forget about them. Clearly, I need to just sit down and go through all of that stuff. Anyway, moral of the story is, if like 4 or 5 days go by and you don't get a response from me, just email me again - chances are your original email got lost in the mix and sorry to say, I tend to go top to bottom in my inbox.

Your inbox looks fuzzy. Maybe crisper monitor settings would make it easier to read (and respond) to emails?

I forgot what I wrote to you exactly...
I asked if you had ever tried to make a CFC of the eBay API!
Hopefully, you'll tackle this for us slackers. :)

I concur with Mr. Farmer, a new monitor would help. ;)

They're innocent before Mistress Svetlana gets her hands on them... but, I've said to much already!

@Patrick,

This looks like a really good resource. Thanks. I really do need to come up with a good inbox strategy. Thanks.
