John Rambo Trailer (Rambo IV) - Old Dog, New Tricks

I just caught the John Rambo trailer over on FirstShowing.net. This stuff really pleases me; sometimes, there's nothing greater than seeing an older guy kicking some serious ass (think Rocky Balboa, Cinderella Story). And, from the looks of the trailer, there going to be plenty of blood, action, and Rambo-style ass kicking. I hope that when I am 60 years old, I am still living at the level Sly is living. Talk about inspiration.

As for me Hollywood doesn't want to spend money on new brands. The easier way is to renew old ones

Yeah, I hear you. Luckily, I was never really into the original Rambo movies (can't remember why), so to me, this feels more new that re-opened.

LOL! But he has a good stunt double for many for most of the "heavy" work.

Like the author said though, as long as they don't go for a family rating like 12a(UK Rating) (I think PG-13 is the closest America has) I'll be all up for something like this. It's not that I love gratuitous violence, but when someone is taking a shot to the knee cap I don't want to hear the man guy say "oh darn!" Maybe I just miss the 80's Arnie and Sly flicks like Commando etc :o)

Ha, speaking of Commando, it just conjured up a classic quote. Arnold's there dangling a guy over a cliff (holding him by the ankle):

Arnold: Remember when I said I'd kill you last?

Thug: Yeah, yeah, that's what you said.

Arnold: I lied!

Classic!

Yea, I like Demolition Man. My favorite movie is actually Cliffhanger. The only movie I'm not fond of is Judge Dredd.

Some top Rambo II quotes:

Trautman: "How's the wound?"

Rambo: "You taught us to ignore pain, didn't ya?"

Trautman: "Is it working?"

Rambo: "Not really. Don't take it personally."

Trautman: "Thanks!"

And later:

Trautman: "I'm sorry I got you into this John."

Rambo: "No you're not!"

Another classic Rambo quote from part :

Sheriff:I wonder what on earth would possess God to make a man like Rambo?
Col Trautman:God didn't make Rambo. I did!!!

Another one
Col. Trautman: I did not come to save Rambo from you. I came to save you from Rambo.

Heck yeah! All I know is that from the trailer, someone gets shot point-blank with a truck-mounted machine gun. Not sure I could live with myself NOT seeing that :)

Trautman: What do we do now John?
Rambo: "Fuck em'!!"

Can't wait for John Rambo! Sly is the man
