Javascript Scopes and Variable Binding

A while back I was talking about having trouble with Javascript variable dereferencing and Javascript variable binding in function declaration. And, from viewing the google searches that people have been doing to get to my site, this topic has certainly confused a good number of people. I was just going through some blogs and I came across a post on Aaron Johnson's website about this very thing. Check out this link to Javascript Closures. I just read the first few pages and it is definately something I have to whipp out the old highlighter and get to learning. I can't wait to get to work tomorrow and print it out.

I just said I can't wait to get to work. How lucky am I?

@Todd, That's understandable. I am not sure if this really leaves any more security holes than the fact that using old cookie-based CFID / CFTOKEN values will create a new session using the old CFI ... read »
