CFUNITED 08 - Early Bird Special

This guy is going to TeraTech's CFUNITED 08. I just took advantage of the lower prices given by the early-early-bird special (available until tomorrow!). Last year, my journey down there was paid for, but this year I am on my own. It will be interesting to see if the price tag influences my experience. Probably not; seeing as it's 8 months away, I am sure I will have forgotten that I even paid for it by the time it rolls around. Regardless though, it is an awesome conference, well worth the price, and I look forward to seeing you all there!

Last year was my first CFUNITED experience and it was a great one to be sure. If you are interested in reading my review, take a look at my article over on the Fusion Authority.

I too am taking advantage of the early bird special. I already purchased my plane ticket and have the rental car reserved.

I look forward to meeting you and seeing you there, I have found your posts very useful, keep up the good work.

This is one of a handful of reasons I miss working for a big company. They paid to send me out to one local (namely cf.objective here in the Minneapolis area) and one out of state conference a year. I was at the 2005 CFUnited, and thought that overall it was the most useful conference I had ever been to.

Oh, and I think you can deduct that conference fee on your taxes since you paid out of pocket, can't you?

@Joe,

Looking forward to seeing you there.

@Jeremy,

Yeah, I work for a small company so none of that stuff is part of the deal. Last year, I just happened to get lucky and got asked to go down and write a review. Most of the stuff I do is out of pocket. Not sure how that works with Taxes. I feel like it only works if you have over a certain $ amount or percentage of your annual income or something. Maybe I will take the time to find out this year.

@Nafisa,

Most definitely. And thanks for helping to put together such a great conference. Word on the street is, you and Liz mastermind the whole operation :)

I believe in love. I believe in compassion. I believe in human rights. I believe that we can afford to give more of these gifts to the world around us because it costs us nothing to be decent and kind and understanding. And, I want you to know that when you land on this site, you are accepted for who you are, no matter how you identify, what truths you live, or whatever kind of goofy shit makes you feel alive! Rock on with your bad self!
